We are very pleased to announce the birth of our new baby daughter: Timéa Misa Siket
To clear up any confusion: first name is Hungarian (but derived from Greek), second is Japanese, third is dad's.
She was born on her due date, Friday August 19th at 6:56 pm. And for those of you who's pools include vital stats, she was 7-1/2 lbs (or 7 lbs 8 oz, or in metric 3.4 kg). And judging by the mucus, snot and blood on the tape measure, she was 20-1/2" long (but this is still unofficial).
It was a very intense 13-1/2 hrs of labour, which ended with the baby "sunny-side-up" (i.e. facing up instead of down). Which means back labour, as the baby's back was against mom's; which makes me wonder how she did it without any drugs; which leaves me awestruck.
Mom and baby are recovering well, with the help of many hands.
See you all in 19 years when she's finally shipped off to university and we could start sleeping again...

Nagypapa is still in recovery, (2:30), he will be transferred to a different room for tonight, and if all went well, and then we will bring him home tomorrow. The Dr's did an angiogram (special x-ray using a dye and a catheter to show the coronary arteries, followed by angioplasty. (A catheter with a balloon is used to dilate or open up the clogged vessels in the heart). This is just a treatment, not a cure.
Thomas & I will leave around 3:00 to visit him.
I will give more details when I get home.
Will your Papa be able to bring Nagypapa home tomorrow if he is well enough?

Szervusz édes kicsi Viola.
Nagyon szeretlek és nagyon jó vagy.
Remélem minden jól van, és jó kis lány voltal.
That silly comment I made here (to you) was just my way of saying that I'll miss you, little Viola & the way you would come charging in here like you were the boss. (Which you are). No little request of yours was ever refused. We'll miss you terribly.
PS Papa forgot to kiss you this morning, & you ran to the window & yelled "puszi puszi papa", but it was too late.
She remembered this 10 minutes after Papa left.
Please get a good night's sleep & don't be up at 5:30.
Love

Dear Viola,
Sorry I haven’t been in touch sooner to say thank you for your great hospitality. It was really good to see you again and I do hope you will all come over here one day so I can reciprocate.
Life has been really busy since I got home within 2 days I had sold my house and 4 days later I bought a new one!!
My buyers are returning from the States so no chain and the one I want is empty so it should go through quite easily, fingers crossed anyway.
All being well I shall move at the end of August so now have to do some sorting and clearing since I am down sizing a little although still have three bedrooms.
Weather is beautiful so spending plenty of time in the garden.
Happy birthday Lili for Wednesday
with love Jill

Hi Viola!
Always nice to see the new pictures. Thanks.
I did want you to consider putting password protection around your site. My work with Cybercrime and Internet Security Training continuously re-inforces the fact that there are true “sicko’s” in the world that will find creative ways to “steal” identies and use pictures of your children in ways you’d never desire. Please consider the password protection and changing it periodically very seriously… you can always e-mail this to your friends in your updates and the new password. If you’d like more information why I’m concerned, check out http://www.packet-level.com/kids
Thanks.

Thank you for your emails. I always enjoy looking at the photo's. I should update you a little on my life. I got married in July /03 to my best friend Becky. We are now expecting our first child. Becky is due September 15th. I am currently in Paramedic school - should be done in June. Becky works for Agricore United - she does accounting type work and pays their bill....as well as my tuition. =O) I’m still part time at the University doing maintenance and doing some EMS with Coaldale. I miss Hungarian dancing but who knows what the future will bring.
Anyway, i'm glad to receive your emails and will let you know if our email address changes. Hope you are all very well.

Three weeks early.
She was breech, so they went in to turn the baby and this slowed her heart rate so they had to do an emergeny C-section.
Everyone is just fine.
They are home now.

Wow, what a weekend... but it was nice to see her even if it was for two minutes. She looked pretty in red and boy has she got her 'ket' down pat. Cute! We are wondering when would be a convenient time to see her?
The kids and I have two days off (Thursday/Friday)- it may be the best time to spend quality time with our favourite second-cousin! Let us know. We have a few commitments over the weekend but we have some hours here and there. You are also welcome to leave her here with us for a time while you go off to remember the anniversary.
